Vendors Wanted at The Treasured Home’s Vintage Market!

Have you always wanted to have your own shop?

After two and a half years, working to fill the shop with treasures, I’m passing the torch! Well…sort of…almost!

No, I’m really not going anywhere…besides Tahoe, of course.  I’ll continue to talk paint, teach classes, do custom painting work and sell special treasures, in my original shop space.

Starting soon, the new space, added a year ago, will become a collective.  It will be  a place where a variety of creative types can sell their treasures. If it’s as successful as I expect it to be, the suite next door, will join in on the fun!

Joining a collective, was how I got my feet wet, in the antique business, a few years ago.  Lora Redman, was the owner of Veranda, in Carmichael, at the time.  She was so helpful, whenever I had a question or needed inspiration.  She was my teacher.  You can now find Lora, in Old Fair Oaks, at the Estate Sale Lady.

At the Treasured Home’s Vintage Market, there will be no walls, to speak of.  Areas will be clearly defined, but there won’t be the traditional cubicals, you’ll find in many antique “malls” or “collectives”.  You won’t find lace doilies or tea cups either.  Not that there’s anything wrong with those things…it’s just not my thing.

Rent will range between $150 and $275, for those that are first to join up.  The larger space will account for about 130 square feet, with room to pass through safely, from space to space.

While I will always strive to be flexible, to find the best talent, a good match for our collective will:

– Share a similar asthetic

– Love the art of display and contributing to working  in a clean, well maintained space.  (There is no cleaning staff, at The Treasured Home.  We all pick up a broom, dust cloth, or empty a trash can, when it’s needed.)

– Enjoy a collective/team approach

– Be able to contribute your time at the shop, 2 days a month. We are all about down-to-earth, friendly, helpful customer service. Prior retail experience is a plus.

As a collective, I think it will be important to be open Sunday’s, adding a sixth day to our work week.  With help from the new vendors, this should be very do-able.  Maybe a shortened day 11-4 is sufficient.

Quality and fair prices, will always be important to me…just as it is to you!   I don’t sell anything damaged, because I want you to love your treasures for a long time!  Our vendors will share in this philosophy.

I would love to see The Treasured Home’s Vintage Market in full swing, by August or September, when we begin our busiest buying season.

Please note: we’ll be hosting our first ever Spring Bazaar, on Saturday, May 9th.  There will be lots of things for sale, at great prices, as well as painting demonstrations and give-aways.  If you have submitted your vendor application,  let’s talk about you displaying some of your goods, for sale, out front, on that day as well!

  2. I would be very interesting in becoming a vendor in the 32 square ft spaced. I know my items will go right along with the classy items you have currently in your shop.
