Ta-da! The Farm Table is Finished! January 1, 2013
Well, the pressing question today is, will we call this year twenty-thirteen or two-thousand-thirteen? Enquiring minds want to know!
I finished resurfacing the top of this antique farm table over the weekend, thanks to my friends at Min-Wax and hours of sanding with my new power sander!
It was the first time I had used the Min-Wax Polyacrylic product.
While the product was easy to work with and will provide good protection for the table, I’ve grown to love a simple wax finish.
I guess I could always sand off the Polyacrylic, but I’ll probably just leave well enough alone!
By the way, who all’s going to Haven in Atlanta this summer? I see that they just announced the dates, August 1-3! Could they have found a hotter month to be in Atlanta? I don’t think so, but, it’s sure to be fun!
Great table. The tickets went on sale yesterday and are selling very fast. Hope you bought one and yes, it will be hot as you know what here in August.

My new sander is a dewalt. The orbital sander and standard sander both Hook up to my shop vacuum. It really cuts down on the dust in my work area!

cool info on the sander…and love the table, I think it looks wonderful and want to say great job.I bet it sells quickly…would be fun with a bench and mismatched chairs.

I’m afraid not. I’d love to go, but I have to focus on the shop right now. I’m no longer foot loose, as I was. So far, that’s ok. You know, you and your hubs have a place to stay, should you come out west!
