Fusion Mineral Paint Inspiration #1 – An Adorable Vanity Makeover!

This lovely vintage piece was completely transformed with Fusion Mineral Paint.  Jill began this makeover by removing all of the drawer hardware and cleaning the piece with TSP.  Then she gave everything a light sanding.  She proceeded by wiping away any sanding dust and taping off the drawers off.  The piece was then painted in the Fusion Mineral Paint color Raw Silk and finished with Fusion Mineral Paint’s Ageing Wax.

Who can resist a beautiful vintage sideboard!  These pieces are becoming harder to find, so we made sure to give this one a well deserved new look.  For this piece, Jill started by removing the drawer and door hardware.  Then she cleaned the entire piece with TSP by Fusion Mineral Paint.  She then sanded the top of sideboard, taped off the drawers and door insides before painting the body of the piece with Fusion Mineral Paint in the color Lichen. Before using Fusion’s Stain & Finishing Oil in Cappuccino on the top of the piece, she applied a thin coat of polyacrylic followed by two coats of Cappuccino.  Then the entire piece was finished with Fusion’s Black Wax on both the top and on the body.
