Why didn’t I think of that? (Gypsy Chic Vintage Market) March 24, 2013

My small tribe of scavengers, set off for the darling town of Lincoln, this morning, in search of treasures.

We had heard about the Gypsy Chic Vintage Market, in downtown Lincoln. Nancy, the owner, refers to it as a monthly “pop-up” antique show, that’s open one long weekend (4 days) a month!

There are about twenty vendors that share the space. What a fabulous idea!

It’s in a cool old building, on the main drag in Lincoln. If you are not familiar with Lincoln, it’s a small town with a vibrant downtown area, and it reminds me of Mayberry! I think they still leave their doors unlocked at night!

I scooped up a number of wonderful pieces that I will show you soon. My favorite vendor, was a darling young woman who creates signs.

Patti snagged the “chandelier” for her back patio. Darling!

Of course we had to check out Anna’s great consignment clothing shop! JIni didn’t buy the skirt, but I told her that it would be great for making pillows. I think she missed a real opportunity! 🙂

Yesterday’s Maison Blanche Chalk Paint class was fun, as usual!

20130324-214746.jpgSave the Date!: We’ll be hosting another Meet the Artist event, on Thursday evening, May 16th, so mark your calendar. A friends referred me to two wonderful abstract oil painters, that I think you’ll like.

Well that’s all for now, my dears! Bless you for stopping by!

Sounds like you had a great day of shopping with great friends! And yes, that skirt would make nice pillows! 😉

We had a great time! Plan your visit for spring or fall, when our weather is so wonderful. Summers great too, but it can get a little toasty!

Yes, I would be very interested. Does the cost include a plane ticket from North Carolina? 🙂 I would love to attend one of your classes. Looks like you had a fun day. Hope you are well. xxoo

Looks like a fun time for all at the market. Now my question: Is this in CA? I’m in San Diego and think my next roadtrip North should allow time for a stay over in the area to hunt for treasures and maybe time it for a class.
    Thanks.

You bet! We’ll make it happen. Lincoln is about a half hour outside of Sacramento. Would love to meet you!
