Mirror, Mirror, On the Wall December 2, 2012
Hello Dear Lovlies,
Guess where I am? Oh, you smart pretties! Yes, I’m at The Treasured Home! Wrapping up my day, here at the shop. It was the day after the Holiday Open House, which was a huge success! Yay!
Thanks to all of you who could stop by, and little angels, like Dawn, who owns a gorgeous florist, Bella Fiore, in old town Fair Oaks. She was sending her customers my way. Thanks to word of mouth, we had a great turn out!
Jini and Joaquin were meeting and greeting, (thank goodness), while I had my first EVER Milk Paint Class! It was small, but a great place for me to find my comfort zone and talk paint!
Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and I had a blast!
Since the other mirror over the buffet sold, I replaced it with this new (old) black and white number, that I recently finished. It’s approximately 3×5′ and it turned out very sharp. Hopefully someone else will agree!
I found this great chair, over at Craig’s, and painted it this wonderful turquoise color. Mr. Wonderful put wheels on her and I’ll add a flat of flowers in the seat. We’ll wheel her out, to hopefully catch the attention of the speed demons, driving past the shop.
Well, that’s it for now. This coming week, we’ll head to the Army/Navy game, for our first time, in Philadelphia. I hear it will be raining. Oh, joy! Still, any time I get to see my daughter, is a good time for me.
Stay well and thanks so much, for being here!
Bless you!,
Barbara
Everything looks wonderful and so glad you had a great Holiday opening. Milkpaint…it seems to be popping up all over blogland!
Hi Rondell,
Yes it is! If you’ve followed Miss Mustard Seed’s blog, you’d know why. She’s the person behind the line. A real sweetheart with a strong following and a great product! Thanks for stopping by!
Such a pretty mirror and that turquoise chair is bound to stop traffic!
Thanks, Mary Ann! I believe that this was the 14th layer of paint, but I don’t think anyone will care!
So happy for you that your Open House went well. I love the pic of you holding court at your paint table. 🙂 Love that chair. I can see if filled with ferns, etc. xxoo
Thanks, Barb! Having seen your centerpieces, I know you could make that chair “sing”!
So glad the open house was successful! That turquoise chair is a real show stopper…should indeed stop some traffic! Wave when you fly over on your way to the game! 😉
Hi Donnamae,
I wish I could stop and have lunch with you! Wouldn’t that be fun?! A wave will have to suffice, though. Keep your eyes on the sky! I’ll be wearing blue! 🙂
Hugs,
B.

Sure wish I lived on the west coast – I’d be in to visit you regularly! What a lovely place you’ve created for yourself 🙂 Wishing you the very best season this Christmas!
Hooray for a successful Open House! You did good girl!

Thank you Cynthia! Where ‘s your shop?
Looks like you are having so much fun!!
I love the turquoise chair you painted up. I am looking to paint my dresser this shade with milk paint but I am unable to find the right color. Did you mix this yourself? thanks
