Before, After and After ( a furniture re-do, re-done)

20130115-211941.jpg
Way back in 2012, I painted this old girl with ASCP, in Paris Gray. As you see, I left the top in its natural state. I was searching for a Nordic look, but think it just turned out boring. So, in my “sell it, or re-paint it” mode, I came up with this new version.

Looks a little perkier, don’t you think?

The paint classes last Saturday went really well and this weekend’s classes are full!

Mr. Wonderful has a three-car garage with room for just one car! He has tons of furniture projects, but his day job and season ski pass are getting in the way!

Sorry I haven’t been a very good Blog Sister lately. I’ve been running like a one armed paper hanger! But this furniture painter’s heading to sunny Florida on Monday, to soak up the sun for a few days.

I’ll be posting next month’s class schedule soon, plus, I’m making plans for a Crafty Women’s Night Out, so stay tuned for details, coming soon!

Hugs,

Hi Jane, we’re staying in your favorite place! Miami Beach! Were staying in one of those renovated old hotels looking out at the beach. It’s only for five days, two of which will be spent At the airport. We are visiting some old friends there, who live in Coconut Grove.

That table isn’t boring anymore….striking! And all with just a little paint. Florida does sound wonderful…sounds like you need a little R &R!;)

Hi Donna Mae, I just heard that there’s a cold front going through Florida. I sure hope it moves through fast!

Hope you are headed further south than the redneck riviera because we’re expecting a big cold wave…high in the low 60s. Burrr. Cute table.

Where, in the world, is the redneck Riviera? This sounds scary! I was really hoping for something in the 80s! I would even be happy with something in the 70s!

Barbara it’s tables like this do-over that make me want to hit up every craigslist and yard sale in a 50 mile radius. What a lovely little funky, perky, happy table! I’d love to have something so unique in my home :) Thanks for sharing!

I know what you mean, Kisha! I’ve been sworn off of painting until I get some accounting work done this week. :(
